In the beginning.

So, you want to make money online while selling products that you think are wholesale?   Well, it seems that alot of people have the same idea.   The most important question is "how   do I   get started".     If you're more of a creative person, like myself you are more worried about the name than the most important aspects of   starting your business.     In this day and age of short attention spans and busy schedules, I plan to give you 1 step   per blog   posting.   My first suggestion will be:

1.   Decide what type of business entity you want to open (i.e. Sole Proprietor, Corporation, LLC, etc).   Take the time to do extensive research on this topic. Contact your states Secretary of State and ask questions.   A few links that will also help you in this endevour are:

              http://www.sba.gov

              http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=98359,00.html

I will not give you advice on whether you should hire a lawyer to help you with this.   You will need to make that decision for yourself.   However, I will say that with the right amount of research you can do this yourself.   Utilize the resources that the Small Business Administration (SBA), the IRS, and your states Secretary of State offer.   Good Luck and be on the lookout for the next posting to come soon.
